SAP Software

WHAT IS SAP SOFTWARE USED FOR?

Traditional business models usually decentralized data management, and each business function stores its own operational data in a separate database. This makes it difficult for employees from different business functions to access each other's information. In addition, the duplication of data across multiple departments increases IT storage costs and the risk of data errors.

Through centralized data management, SAP software provides multiple business functions through a single real view. This allows employees in different departments to easily access real-time insights across the enterprise, thereby helping the company better manage complex business processes. As a result, companies can speed up work processes, increase operational efficiency, increase productivity, enhance customer experience-and ultimately increase profits.

What is ERP software?

ERP stands for "Enterprise Resource Planning". ERP software includes procedures in all core business areas, such as purchasing, production, material management, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources (HR).

SAP is one of the first companies to develop standard software for business solutions and continues to provide industry-leading ERP solutions.

Was SAP a startup?

SAP started with a small group of friends who had a great idea: the vision of a digitally connected enterprise. Dietmar Hopp, Klaus Tschira, Hans-Werner Hector, Hasso Plattner and Claus Wellenreuther founded the company as private partners in 1972 and launched the first commercial product a year later.

The founders and employees work closely with the client-often sitting side by side in the client's office, understanding their business needs and processes.

Since then, the company has grown steadily through market expansion and global acquisitions, transforming from a small German start-up company to one of the world's largest technology companies and a global leader in business software.

It has never lost its pioneering spirit, nor has it lost its determination to create groundbreaking solutions to improve people's lives.

What does SAP do?

SAP helps companies and organisations of all sizes and industries run their businesses profitably, adapt continuously, and grow sustainably.

The company develops software solutions for small businesses, medium-sized companies, and large companies. With standard applications, industry solutions, platforms and technologies, each business process can be mapped and designed. The software collects and processes data on a platform, from raw material procurement to production and customer satisfaction. SAP solutions can be installed "locally" at the user's location or used from the cloud to help companies analyze and effectively design the entire value chain. SAP solutions can also be used to create forecasts, such as when a machine needs repairs or how revenue will grow in the next six months.

In addition, SAP helps customers seamlessly link operational data of business processes with experience data of emotional factors such as purchase experience and customer feedback. This enables companies to better understand and respond to their customers.
